I'm certain that the death penalty won't come back it's barbaric and simply outdated. I thought that was a nice touch there by the programmers. Glitter is the 1972 debut album by British glam rock singer Gary Glitter, produced by Bell Records. Two tracks, 'I Didnt Know I Loved You (Till I Saw You Rock and Roll)' and 'Rock and Roll', the latter a song in two parts, achieved success as singles each spent time amongst the top 40 singles in both the US and UK. I think the death penalty is a valid subject for Channel 4, a public service broadcaster. Just as executions have a morbid fascination, dramas about executions, like Dead Man Walking or The Green Mile seem to have that same fascination (although perhaps one degree removed). It's the sort of idiotic title our government would give to such a position to swerve any political backlash. I watched The Execution of Gary Glitter tonight. It doesn't actually take me by surprise either to hear the executioner being called a 'hanging technician'. Surely a lengthy prison sentence and the very likelihood of the other inmates ripping them apart would be far worse. I think a life sentence for paedophilia, as terrible a crime as it is, isn't worthy of death. There are far bigger villains than Glitter in the world who would deserve the death penalty (Ian Huntley for example). Surveys can never be 100% accurate at speaking for millions of people. I disagree that the majority of the British population wants the death penalty back they survey's statistics shown at the end didn't say how many people had been asked.

Apparent errors and flaws aside (how could an entire court and jury understand the Vietnamese woman without an interpreter), it was a thought-provoking programme. Ch 4 drama/documentary, set in a parallel Britain in which the death penalty has been re-introduced, this drama sees the trial of Gary Glitter for his true crimes committed in Vietnam. Studio albums: 7: Live albums: 4: Compilation albums: 13: EPs: 1: Singles: 42: English glam rock singer Gary Glitter (born Paul Francis Gadd) has released 7 studio albums, 4 live albums, 13 compilation albums, 1 extended play (EP) and 42 singles, including 3 UK number-one singles.
